Dutch language course – Intermediate
The intermediate level course is aimed at people who would like to communicate freely on everyday topics, both in speech and in writing. A person who knows Dutch at an intermediate level should be able to take part in a conversation about personal or everyday life issues, e.g. family, free time, work, travel and current events. What is more, participants of the course should be able to describe experiences, events, dreams, and ambitions, as well as opinions or plans in brief.

The course on level A2-B1 is designed with consideration of:
- people at A2 level who want to continue learning Dutch and use more complex sentences
- wanting to learn correct pronunciation, new words and delve into the rules of grammar
- people expecting results and wanting to work for them
- wanting to break the barriers and start communication in Dutch
- people interested in learning grammar and correct pronunciation from scratch with a native speaker
- interested in modern and effective teaching methods

After completing the course the participant is able to:
- understand the meaning of the main threads of the message contained in clear, standard statements that relate to familiar matters and events typical of work, school, free time, etc.
- deal with most communication situations that can occur when traveling in an area where a given language is spoken
- create simple, consistent statements on topics that you know or interest you, describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and aspirations, briefly justifying or explaining your opinions and plans
Level B1 is build out of two 30-week modules. This means that the student participates in 60 hours of the course and additionally is expected to devote approximately 3 hours a week to self study.

For whom is the intermediate Dutch course NOT a good choice?
- preparing for the NT2 exam
- for people who are unable to attend lessons
