VCA Basis – Basic Health and Safety Rules
For our clients, we offer VCA training and exams in 18 languages (all official exams languages). Languages in which course is offered are: Dutch, English, German, Polish, Slovak, Greek, Lithuanian, French, Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian, Turkish, Arabic, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Bulgarian and Russian.
The VCA training and exam (Basic Safety Rules) are addressed to all employees who perform practical work duties (including contractors and subcontractors). The training aims to provide information about the basic rules of safe work. In many professional groups an inquiry regarding this certificate appears. The Basis VCA diploma applies to work in occupations with higher risk, among others:
- scaffolding,
- assembly,
- electrical,
- insulating,
- maintenance,
- petrochemical
- and many others.
Basis VCA training content, as the name suggests, concerns basic principles of work safety. The issues discussed in the VCA training cover various fields of work. The training discusses:
- elements of Labor Law,
- risks and accidents,
- dangerous materials,
- fire and explosion,
- closed rooms,
- tools and machines,
- lifting and lifting,
- personal protection equipment.

About the Basis VCA exam
The condition for obtaining the certificate is passing the formal exam. The test consists of 40 closed questions. Questions take forms:
- multiple choice questions (variable number of correct answers)
- questions types “matrix”
- “matching” questions – assigning the correct answer
The candidate has 60 minutes to solve the computer test. If he answers correctly at a minimum of 26 responses, the result of the exam is positive. After passing the exam, the candidate receives a certificate valid for 10 years.
The validity of the certificate is checked on the VCA Centraal Diploma Register website.
