Dutch language course – elementary Dutch
The elementary level course (a higher level after the beginner Dutch course) is aimed at people who have had contact with the Dutch language, want to understand and use frequently words and phrases about themselves, families, about what is close and known, shopping, school, classmates or activities often performed at work. What’s more, this level allows one to master such skills like understanding the main information in the news (written and spoken) and spoken messages. Learning Dutch at this level is recommended for people who have already had contact with the Dutch language, but only on very basic level.

Course “elementary dutch ” is designed with consideration for:
- beginners after first contact with Dutch (having prior contact with Dutch – after A0-A1 course or self studying)
- people expecting results and wanting to commit their work to achieving them
- wanting to break the barriers and start communication in Dutch
- people interested in learning grammar and correct pronunciation from scratch with a native speaker
- interested in modern and effective teaching methods
- ready to build confidence and meet new people.

After completion of the course the student should be able to:
- understand statements and frequently used expressions related to everyday life (e.g. basic information about you and your family, shopping, environment, work)
- communicate in simple, routine communication situations that require only a simple, direct exchange of information on known and typical topics
- in a simple way describe your origin, environment and also raise matters related to the most important needs of everyday life
Level A2 is build out of two 30-week modules. This means that the student participates in 60 hours of the course and additionally is expected to devote approximately 3 hours a week to self study.
