‘Consciously Safe’ – Bewust Veilig.
On Wednesday March 20, 2019, the third edition of ‘Consciously Safe’ will take place. As every year, the safety on the work floor is the key discussion topic. Recent years have shown an increasing audience size. This trend is expected to persist also in the upcoming event, both among the employers as well as employees.
The reason for this is twofold. First and foremost, it is in everyone’s best interest that all workers can return home in a good health every day. Secondly, by preventing incidents and accidents, a healthy and fit end to a career for everyone is possible. Therefore, providing knowledge about work-related health and safety rules is crucial.
To make ‘Bewust Veilig’ possible for everyone, Bouwend Nederland, Aannemersfederatie Bouw en Infra, Cumela, OnderhoudNL and Techniek Nederland have joined forces. This event therefore focuses on all parties in the chain, whether you are working on a project, for a company or on a construction site. Since collaborating on a project or on a construction site involves risks, everyone is encouraged to discuss this with each other. In this way, everyone becomes aware how to make and keep the workplace as safe as possible.
Do you also want to join and participate? That is very simple. Here are three examples that Bewust Veilig (Consciously Safe) provides:
- You can choose to organize a small meeting around a relevant safety issue
- Make a safety walk with your client and with partners on a project or construction site
- Within your company talk to each other about (un) safe behavior
By keeping everyone aware of their responsibilities on the work floor, the risk of accidents and injury-caused absence, is reduced. By consciously working safely everyone ultimately benefits from it.
